Data Architect – Logical Data Modeler

Responsibilities:
As the data architect, you will be expected to:

Maintain a holistic view of the scope of all data projects across a line of business looking for potential project collisions

Provide project consultation
-
Review Data Architecture overall approach at project level
-
Look for opportunities to provide data reuse
-
Set Data Modeling standards and processes
-
Perform data model audits for standards compliance
-
Maintain conceptual data models of each line of business
-
Understand the complete path of data within the entire line of business
-
Develop an in-depth understanding of the business data needs and the ability to align those business needs with the overall Enterprise data strategy
-
Partner with the Enterprise Data Architect to influence, understand, and implement the Enterprise Data Strategy
-
Help establish roadmaps for each line of business to achieve the Enterprise Data Strategy
-
Participate in the Enterprise Data Governance Committee
Who should apply:
In a nutshell – this position requires someone who is a competent with
logical data modeling! Your experience will need to include:
-
Bachelor’s Degree in computer science or a related discipline
-
3+ years of experience in a data architect role
-
5+ years of experience data modeling data solutions including but not limited to : ODS, Data Warehouse, Data Integration Hub, OLTP/OLAP, or equivalent knowledge
-
5+ years of experience data modeling, querying, and performance tuning relational DBMS (Oracle, SQL Server, DB2)

In-depth understanding of the Business data needs and the ability to align those business needs with the overall Enterprise data vision
-
Mastery in conceptual, logical, and physical data modeling
-
Excellent SQL skills and demonstrated ability to write complex SQL for purposes of analyzing data and/or evaluating how information needs might be translated into backend structures
-
Knowledge of current and upcoming data technologies
Base salary of $100,000 - $110,000 PLUS 8% bonus
