Manager of Information Technology

Responsibilities:
The Manager of IT is responsible for providing technology leadership in the strategy, architecture, design, deployment, management and execution of IT applications and infrastructure services.
 
This may include, but is not limited to: software applications, network infrastructure, cloud computing, disaster recovery, security, telecommunications, and vendor management.
 
KEY: The primary initiative for 2019 is the selection and implementation of a new ERP system. Experience with this is critical.
 
  • Work with the management team to develop an overall IT strategy, planning process, and investment strategies in the context of the business strategy.
  • Create and execute roadmaps outlining the technology strategy and the investments in technology to ensure systems are secure, stay consistent with industry best practices and enable strategic plans across all business areas.
  • Establish key performance indicators and service level agreements for continually measuring and improving the performance of IT operations
  • Prepare RFPs, bid proposals, contracts, statements of work, and other documentation for projects and associated efforts
  • Create and implement disaster recovery and business continuity plans
  • Understand, advocate, and support the enterprise’s business and IT strategies
  • Work closely with third-party vendors including software providers, implementation partners, and consultants
  • Lead the coordination, strategic planning, management, maintenance, and deployment of the enterprise applications, such as ERP, CRM, HRIS, and corporate reporting
  • Responsible for the implementation of necessary changes without causing business interruptions
  • Responsible for defining and reporting the controls required for the IT application processes
  • Manage relationships with key vendors and service providers to ensure they cost-effectively meet the needs of the organization
  • Ensure the applications cost-effectively meet the needs of the business as a whole
  • Keep current with trends and issues in the IT industry, including current technologies and prices; Advise, counsel, and educate executives and management on their competitive or financial impact
  • Perform other duties as directed by management.
 
 
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in the field of computer science, information systems, or business administration
  • Minimum of 8 years’ experience with design, operation and management of enterprise business systems, especially ERP manufacturing systems
  • Demonstrated success leading medium to large scale initiatives or transformations
  • Thorough understanding of application integration, maintenance, architectural integrity, quality assurance and performance of applications
  • Proven experience in full cycle ERP deployments, with deep understanding of best practices
  • Business process knowledge in areas such as: order-to-cash, plan-to-produce, purchase-to-pay, record-to-report, and other
  • Hands-on
  • Strong customer service skills and demonstrated interest in continuous improvement
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required. Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with a variety of audiences including senior level management. Ability to clearly communicate technical subject matter to a non-technical audience. Strong inter-personal skills in a diverse cultural environment
  • Broad understanding of manufacturing-related systems

  • Excellent understanding of IT application and IT infrastructure architectures
  • Project management experience
  • Ability to facilitate multidisciplinary project teams in accomplishing strategic goals
  • Ability to lead, motivate, develop and manage the performance of direct reports
  • Excellent ERP system skills (technology, infrastructure, processes)
  • Strong process management, negotiating, influencing and problem resolution skills
  • Proven ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
  • Ability to understand and communicate the lifecycle of technologies and applications and to translate into business strategies for the client organizations
  • Forward thinking and open minded for innovation
 
Salary is, of course, based on experience. Target range is $100,000 - $115,000, plus bonus and benefits
